Apple Cinnamon Oats

Winter is knocking the door and what can be better than enjoy warm oats for breakfast. I am seriously obsessed with oats, and have them almost every day. One of my favorite this is adding apple and cinnamon.  Matt loves it with banana, so you could change it up if you want!

On a pot add the milk and the oats. Turn on the heat in low and stir for couple minutes. Add the apple, cinnamon, vanilla extract and honey/maple syrup if using. Stir all the ingredients. Keep the heat on low and cover the pot. Let cook for 8-10 minutes, make sure to stir the oats and add more milk if necessary. Cook until the apple is cook and feels soft or until you find a good consistency. Sometimes I add a little bit more of milk to make the oats softer but it would depend the consistency you will like.
