MamacitasMonday: Cara Scinto

#MamacitasMonday is a glimpse in the life of a babe that inspire Boston (and beyond!) - someone that not only teaches fitness classes but is making an impact. I take classes with this babes, work with them or happen to meet them. You bet they all look gorg on the podium but they are more than that, and I know you want a peek. This week I am speaking with Cara Scinto.

Cara and I met almost a year ago at the Sweetgreen in Back Bay. Back then, we were planning a summer series bootcamp called "Bos Power Hour" - after meeting for the first time, we realized we had similar interests, and being friends since. 

Cara is an Online Health Coach, NASM CPT and MS, her philosophy "life is all about balance" is what makes me love her even more. If you've met Cara, you know she is super calm and transmit peace just by seating next to her. She is always smiling and positive, no matter what happens.

AA: Ok, in one sentence tell us who you are? (where are you from, where did you grow up, guilty pleasure, etc.)

CS: Hi there! I'm Cara, an ice-cream loving online personal trainer nutritionist. I grew up in Fairfield, CT with my highschool sweetheart husband and moved to Boston so we could both pursue an education in our passions: music and health. 

AA: What is your favorite way to move your booty AKA working out?

CS: Shaking my booty, of course! No, seriously, any kind of class with a good beat that gets me dancing is right up my alley!!

AA: If you could be one type of exercise, which one would you be and why?

CS: Hmm.. I think a split because it's a stretch I'm still working on getting to and I read in a yoga book that they're great for balance training.

AA: What gets you out of bed, and says I wanna teach today?

CS: I'll be honest, there are those days when I just want to stay in my comfort zone, under the covers. But,the magic happens when we challenge ourselves to try new things, and teaching is always bring up something brand new. A

AA: When times are hard, how do you channel your inner badass?

CS: I let myself cry it out and then get to work.

AA: How would you describe your happy place?

CS: A warm beach with my toes in the sand and a cool drink in hand.

AA: If could spend your life in one place, where would it be?

CS: I really don't know. I'm still exploring and figuring out spaces I can grow in and love.

AA: What is your badass quote?

CS: With challenge comes change!
