MamacitaMonday: Kelli Fierras

#MamacitaMonday is a glimpse in the life of a babe that inspire Boston (and beyond!) - someone that not only teaches fitness classes but is making an impact. I take classes with this babes, work with them or happen to meet them. You bet they all look gorg on the podium but they are more than that, and I know you want a peek ;)

This week I spoke with Kelli Fierras, Register Dietician, Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor. She has made her way all the way from Philly and crushing the Boston Fitness Industry. Read all about Kelli below!

AA: Ok, in one sentence tell us who you are? (where are you from, where did you grow up, guilty pleasure, etc.)

KF: My name is Kellilyn, but you can just call me Kelli, I am from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and I have a serious obsession with Heinz ketchup and will put it on everything and anything!  

AA: What is your favorite way to move your booty AKA working out?

KF: This is a hard question because I love switching up my workouts and trying something new. I would have to say my true passion is running. It's the only time throughout the day when all I think about is putting one foot in front of the other and nothing else. No stress, just me, my music and the scenery around me. I can do it anywhere, it's free, and I run with a purpose every damn day! 

AA: If you could be one type of exercise, which one would you be and why?

KF: If I could be any exercise, I would be a 1-2 punch in boxing. Strong enough to keep me in the fight and fast enough to make sure I'm always one step ahead of your competition. 

AA: What gets you out of bed, and says I wanna teach today? 

KF: Teaching allows me to be me while helping others reach their goals. I get out of bed knowing that I am going to make a difference in someone's life today and if that's not the most motivating thing in the world I don't know what is. Teaching has allowed me to develop such great relationships with amazing individuals who give me the courage to be the best version of myself. 

AA: When times are hard, how do you channel your inner badass?

KF: When times are hard, I lace up my shoes, play some Eminem, and run the streets of Boston. I remember my overall goals and remind myself that nothing worth having comes easy. I take it one day at a time, never take any day for granted, and remind myself that I will succeed and I'll do whatever it takes to get there. 

AA: How would you describe your happy place?

KF: My happy place is at the beach while watching the sunset after a kick ass run with my feet in the sand. Nothing like a beautiful sunset to remind me that each day can be as amazing as I make it. 

AA: If could spend your life in one place, where would it be?

KF: I would spend it in Whole Foods if my paycheck allowed me to each day. It has all of my favorite things under one roof ranging from almond butter and coffee to wine and pizza (I'm all about that balanced life). Plus, all the workers there are the nicest people ever and would be great company 24/7.

AA: What is your badass quote?

KF: Be stronger than your strongest excuse!

KF: You can catch me at EveryBodyFights, Mystryde, or running through Boston jamming out to my classes playlists! (Yes, I might be the crazy running girl who dances at stop lights waiting to cross the street on my run)
