Mamacitas Monday: Alanna Perry

 #MamacitaMonday is a glimpse in the life of a babe that inspire Boston (and beyond!) - someone that not only teaches fitness classes but is making an impact. I take classes with this babes, work with them or happen to meet them. You bet they all look gorg on the podium but they are more than that, and I know you want a peek ;)

These week I am speaking with Alanna Perry, dancer and barre queen instructor at Equinox. Her classes get fill out in minutes (not lying here!) and we all wanna look like her. She is an energy bomb babe. 

AA: Ok, in one sentence tell us who you are? (where are you from, where did you grow up, guilty pleasure, etc.)

AP: I’m a high energy, super positive, dance-a-holic who loves fitness, motivating others, clean eating, SoundCloud and everything barre! 

AA: What is your favorite way to move your booty AKA working out? 

AP: When I’m not teaching barre or dance you can find me in a zumba class (going all out)  I whip my hair back and forth. and I leave it all on the dance floor!  

AA: If you could be one type of exercise, which one would you be and why?

AP: I would be PRETZEL! It is my FAVORITE seat excersize in barre! I love teaching pretzel because it targets your obliques and your seat (double whammy) and I love doing pretzel because I always feel the benefits right away. 

AA: What gets you out of bed, and says I wanna teach today?

AP: My passion for teaching and motivating others are always on the top of my list! My clients inspire me and my music moves me. Knowing that everyone is there because they want to be and NOT because they have to be makes me work extra hard to deliver an amazing class everytime I teach! 

AA: When times are hard, how do you channel your inner badass?

AP: When times are hard I channel my inner badass by putting on my wireless beats and dancing around my room. For me, my inner badass is behind the beat and Beyonce always helps me bring out my inner Sasha Fierce :) 

AA: How would you describe your happy place?

AP: Believe it or not…my happy place is in a studio teaching barre! 

AA: If could spend your life in one place, where would it be?

AP: Florence, Italy. On a vineyard. Done and Done. 

AA: What is your badass quote? 

AP: The quote that I live by is: “Never giveup. Never surrender.”
