Hi babes!

Welcome to my blog. This is where I document my plant-based recipes, workouts, favorite classes, and travel inspiration. Enjoy!

MamacitasMonday: Liah Malley

MamacitasMonday: Liah Malley

#MamacitaMonday is a glimpse in the life of a babe that inspire Boston (and beyond!) - someone that not only teaches fitness classes but is making an impact. I take classes with this babes, work with them or happen to meet them. You bet they all look gorg on the podium but they are more than that, and I know you want a peek ;)

This week, I am talking to Liah, SoulCycle intrustor. Liah is the sweetest and most positive person I've met in my life. She is always smiling and kicking ass around town. Read more about her below!

AA: Ok, in one sentence tell us who you are? (where are you from, where did you grow up, guilty pleasure, etc.)

LM: Originally from Toronto, I moved to Boston for love 6 years ago! I'm passionate about movement, music, motivation and making connections with people!

AA: What is your favorite way to move your booty AKA working out?

LM: Other than SoulCycle, my favorite way to sweat is currently rock climbing! I like to mix it up, keep the body guessing! I try new activities all the time to stay healthy, challenged and inspired. I love group fitness (yoga, barre, pilates), boxing, running, lifting weights and playing sports!

AA: What gets you out of bed, and says I wanna teach today?

LM: The SoulCycle community in Boston is unreal, I love seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones. The collective energy and strength that we create together in that dark, candlelit room fuels my mind, body and soul everyday.

AA: If you could be one type of exercise, which one would you be and why?

LM: Pushing as hard and fast as I can for 10-30 seconds against HEAVY resistance on a SoulCycle bike. I love to lose my breath, lose my mind and find solace in the sweat. I live for the physical and mental challenge of truly giving my 100% effort. The harder the push, the better the feeling after it.

AA: When times are hard, how do you channel your inner badass?

LM: My strategies for keeping my attitude and body strong include: practicing yoga, cross-training, taking baths, getting massages, hanging out with friends, and LOTS of sweating, dancing, singing, cooking, meditating, reading and napping!

AA: How would you describe your happy place?

LM: Snuggling on my couch with my hubby and puppy, with a glass of champagne, watching one of my favorite shows (currently obsessed with Big Little Lies).

AA: What is your badass quote?

LM: You are the CEO of your life, so act like a BOSS.

AA: Where can we catch you?
