How I Take Care Of My Skin With A Busy And Active Schedule

Hello mamacitas, today I wanted to write about something you have been asking me a lot. How do I take care of my skin while working out.

I wasn’t super conscious on taking care of my skin until a year ago. I always thought that eating healthy and drinking tons of water was enough; until I noticed that my legs and face were looking super dry, especially in winter. So I just overload on lotions and oils, until my face started to breakout. I have never had a lot of pimples, so I thought it was odd that at my mid twenties I was developing acne.

Long story short and a lot of different products after, I found a brand and products that I love and that have been key in my skin care routine pre and post workout. Especially in summer time, when the sun and sweat it takes a toll on me. The least I want is to have my skin to breakout or get any worst, specially now teaching 15+ classes a week, on top of my regular job and blogging!

Here are my top 3 things I do everyday, pre and post workout and especially when I travel!

MORNING ROUTINE:

Step 1: wash my face with a all natural soap and fresh water.

Step 2: Apply couple drops of Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose oil in my face and I let it dry.

Step 3: Apply Raw Elements Facial Moisturizer tint formula that has 30 PFS – perfect for summer, and it works as my make up base.  Is all natural, vegan, cruelty free and doesn’t harm the oceans! Perfect for a beach vacay.

Step 4: Apply make up, and I am ready to go!

I follow these steps as well after a shower, and I add Biossance 100% Squalane oil in my body and hair once dry, instead of applying any body moisturizer.

NIGHT ROUTINE:

Step 1. Remove gently my make up with coconut oil using a cotton pad.  I’ve been using coconut oil for a while, I find it perfect to keep my skin moist but it is gentle when taking the entire make up off.

Step 2. Wash my face with all natural soap like castile soap, or a Juice beauty product. Depending what I have with me.  I use warm water this time, and dry my skin with a cotton towel.

Step 3. Apply couple drops of Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose oil.  

AND THAT’S IT!

I keep it very simple and the most natural products possible. I don’t have a lot of time on my day so quick alternatives are my go-to.
