12 WEEK CHALLENGE: MUST DOs AND DONTs

Hi mamacitas, there is just a few days before the SWEAT 12 Week Challenge start, and I  can not wait! This time around I  am joining the community on a different challenge. I  have done BBG and BBG Stronger a few times, see my reviews here, and I  LOVED IT! However, this time I  wanted to try another program, and decided for BAM (Body and Mind) program, which consists in yoga flows to strengthen, length and open your body and mind! 

Wether you are doing BAM, BBG or PWR, there are some things you should know, some dos and don’ts that will make the next 12 weeks so much more easier and that will make you feel better.

Ok, let’s get into the DOs and DON’TS

 

DO PREPARE, AND SET TIME FOR IT.

Prepare, prepare and prepare. Doesn’t matter if you have done the program before or if is your first time. Prepare. Make sure you have set time on your day for the gym commute or to set up your home equipment, be ready!

DON’T OVER COMPLICATE IT. 

Please be kind to yourself, and be realistic. Are you really going to wake up at 5am everyday, or are you really going to workout at home. Don’t make it hard for you, keep it simple. If the gym commute doesn’t work, than choose something else, maybe a workout at home will make it less stressful. 

DO LEAVE YOUR GEAR READY, AND I F YOU CAN YOUR MEALS

As I  said before, planning is key. Specially if is your first time around. One thing that helps me a lot, is to keep my clothes ready for the next day, along with my meals. That way the only thing I  need to worry about is to get up and go!

DON'T BEAT YOURSELF UP

Life happens, sometimes life gets on the way and we end up missing a workout. IS OK! You are not a robot, and a fitness challenge isn’t everything. If you missed one day, move on, and do it the next day. 

DO, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY

If you are super sore that you can’t move, take a rest day. If you are sick, rest. If you are feeling down, go for a walk, don’t stress your body. A sear friend of mine said to me “Listen to your body, not your excuses” It is important to understand the differences, and do what is right for you. 

DONT COMPARE YOURSELF.

Just don’t. My journey and your journey are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. So just save your time and know out just self doubt and just don’t compare yourself. You are doing amazing by just moving your beautiful body every day.
